The cottage with views of the sea
The cottage is white-washed with blue shutters and is simply furnished, sleeps 4 to 5, and has a double bedroom overlooking the lemon tree, and a saloni/2nd bedroom with views of the sea and door to the back garden and patio. The front veranda is shaded by a grape vine and has stunning sea views. A place to relax, sunbathe, read, eat and enjoy the stars at night.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, cooker, crockery and cutlery. The bathroom has a bath with shower, sink and toilet and a washing machine. All bedding and towels are provided as well as 2 Yoga mats. Just bring your own beach towels.
There is AC in the saloni and bedroom which helps cool the house in summer months. There are also fans and heaters available for the colder months.
Travelling to the cottage
Daily flights to Athens (Kalamata twice a week in the summer). Bus, car hire or taxi from the airport. Or a shared taxi from Athens city Euros 45 per person. We can help make arrangements. (approx 4 - 5 hours drive from Athens).

Monemvasia and the surrounding area
Monemvasia is a wonderful place to explore with a Byzantine Castle, churches, shops and breathtaking walks.
The sea and swimming
The sea is crystal clear with a choice of uncrowded coves and beaches to enjoy. You can also swim off the rocks at Kokoula or from the Portello in the Kastro.
Tavernas cafes and bars (with free Wifi)
There are many restaurants, cafes and tavernas overlooking the nearby fishing town of Gefyra as well as in the Kastro offering delicious Greek food.
Farmers markets, bakeries, butcher, greengrocers, fishmongers, banks, post office, doctors, dentist & pharmacy
On Saturdays there is a Farmer’s market by the main beach selling fresh fruit and vegetables and other goods. Farmers often pass through the village with their goats, selling fruit and vegetables and other goods. Most shops will arrange delivery.
